Hi, we’re Zoe and Nikki, sisters from Adelaide, South Australia.

Growing up, Zoe and I had lots of very negative experiences in changing rooms while trying on clothes. And as young women, it was difficult to not assume it was because of the way that our bodies were shaped. As we got older, we gained the courage to talk to other women about the issues that we had trying to find clothes that fit and the negative body image that came hand in hand with it. These conversations led us to the realisation that we weren’t the only ones with this issue. Even people who we thought had the “perfect” body were saying the same statements we had been, “if my legs were just…”, “if my hips were a bit….”, “if I just…”. And it was realising that this was bigger than just an “us” issue which sparked the idea for Know My Fit. And so in 2023, Know My Fit was born.

Zoe has a Bachelor of Computer Science under her belt, and so across two weeks (while working full time) she built the initial Know My Fit website. I had one year of my degree left so I was studying full time and working on the business in my spare time.  

Our goal with Know My Fit is to remove the negative self-image that usually comes with finding clothes, by providing a platform which lets customers input their physical measurements and only be suggested products that will fit them. Additionally, our goal is to support local so we’re partnering with Australian and New Zealand fashion designers, who are already making gorgeous clothing but having trouble getting seen, to make it easy for customers to find and support small local designers and in turn the economy.

We are striving to keep our customers informed on what they’re purchasing, so that you can purchase items that not only fit your body measurements but also you’re values. We want to have something to fit everyone on the Know My Fit website, regardless of height, weight, age, or ability. As a start-up, we are always learning and improving, and we would love to have you join us on this exciting adventure!
