Astor and Tyne was born out of a desire to create original designs that celebrate the modern Australian woman—strong, stylish, and unapologetically fabulous. My collection is inspired by the unique blend of urban sophistication and laid-back charm that defines Australia. Every piece is thoughtfully designed to offer a perfect balance of comfort, elegance, and individuality.
I started Astor and Tyne because I wanted to fill a gap in the market for high-quality, Australian-designed women’s fashion that caters to women like us. Women who have experienced life, who know what they want, and who are not afraid to express themselves through their style. My designs are timeless yet contemporary, classic yet original. I believe that fashion should not only make you look good but also feel good too.
I discovered the joy of creating for the first time when I was 12yrs old. Bored in the school holidays I raided my mum’s chest of fabric. My best friend and I would spend hours poring over Saturday morning ‘Video Hits’ working on recreating the latest and greatest outfits of 1983…
I carried on studying fashion construction through high school and went on to complete a TAFE fashion design course.
After 40yrs of creating a huge variety of garments, so many of my skills now have been learned through experience.
